Elder Help Volunteers of Lane County Oregon recruits and trains caring people who are interested in supporting a senior who lives in their own home or apartment. Most volunteers give 2 to 3 hours per week of their time. We provide initial training, assist with the match to a senior that feels comfortable for the volunteer and ongoing support. Volunteers can be anyone age 18 or over who completes the screening and training process.
We are based in Eugene, Oregon. Volunteers come from throughout Lane County, from the coast to the Cascades. We are sponsored by the Senior and Disability Services program of the Lane Council of Governments.
If you are a senior who wants help from the program please contact the Senior Connections program of LCOG Senior & Disability Services at (541) 682-4038. All of the seniors served by this program are clients of the Senior Connections program and live in their own homes or apartments.
